This is the Only Way to Eat Sushi in Atlanta
Even if you hate sushi, you can still enjoy the experience.
There’s one thing about sushi that most people can agree on — you either love it or hate it! I have to admit that I’m somewhere in-between.
Since my youngest son is among the crowd of sushi lovers, I decided to treat him for his 30th birthday, to a ‘you-gotta-try-at-least-once’ culinary experience at one of Atlanta’s local sushi restaurants: Kura Revolving Sushi Bar (home of the conveyor belt sushi).
I had heard of this place pre-COVID and never had a chance to go. I was delighted that community transmission levels were low when my son and I decided to venture out to Kura — albeit keeping our masks close by.
Located in a strip mall near the infamous I-285 and Buford Highway, Kura is one of many international restaurants in this location. I’ve eaten sushi at other neighborhood places, but nothing prepared me for what we were about to experience.
Before the hostess seated us, she asked “Have you been here before?” — we replied “No”. If you’re a newcomer to Kura, you need a quick onboarding to prepare you before dining.
